While visiting a yard sale in Connecticut, a man discovered this bowl featuring designs incorporating lotus, peony, chrysanthemum and pomegranate blossoms. He swiftly purchased the bowl for $35. What he suspected was true – it was a rare Chinese bowl from the Ming dynasty. Only six other bowls are known to exist. When the yard sale discovery sold at auction, it was purchased for an unbelievable $700,000.
