In the familiar story of the Good Samaritan in Luke’s Gospel explored in this post, we are invited again to consider not only the question, “Who is my neighbor?” asked by the lawyer but the issue Jesus wanted to address – how might we need to disadvantage ourselves in order to help someone God has placed in our paths today.
While not traditionally a passage for the Advent season, it is worth wrestling with this question in our interactions and conversations in the coming days.
