Not including the winter weather, one of the greatest surprises about moving to Michigan from Texas more than 20 years ago was that there wasn’t a Chick-fil-A restaurant anywhere near us. Not having regular access to my favorite fast-food restaurant only grew my desire for chicken nuggets and waffle fries, and we would eagerly anticipate any trip that took us close to a Chick-fil-A!
This small longing was the catalyst for today’s Our Daily Bread devotional that focuses on eagerly anticipating our heavenly home.
