I love a long road trip! On a family trip to the West coast, I was unprepared for the strong winds that whipped across vast stretches of farmland. Since I usually think of God as being a refuge from storms in reference to the wind and waves on water, it gave me a new perspective on the power of wind blowing unhindered across a plain, and inspired this devotional.
