In friendships, I truly value those who can keep a confidence. When I heard my Slovak friend use the phrase “hollow willow” to describe a trustworthy friend, I instantly loved the expression.
His comment inspired an Our Daily Bread devotional based on Proverbs 11:13, “A gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret.”
